Both u.v.ray and myself have broken into publishing elsewhere (Yellow King Press and Austin Macaulay) but Murder Slim Press will always be our main focus with one short story collection ("The Mark Of Zorro") being released this year, followed by Steve Hussy's "Lunatic" in 2026.

--- Next month will see the Murder Slim Press release of Zsolt Alapi's short shory collection called The Mark Of Zorro. Its 240 pages add up to a fascinating memoir of "Stephen" (who seems to be Alapi's alter-ego) who navigates youth through to middle age, with all of its key moments. It's a fast-paced, page-turning and rapier-sharp read.
--- It's Joe R. Lansdale's 74th Birthday this month. We had him in SAVAGE KICK #2 with an exclusive story and interview, and then he returned in SAVAGE KICK #5 with another great story. Check 'em out before they sell out.

--- AEOS MAGAZINE features another of u.v.ray's columns in its latest issue. Entitled DARK RAYS, they always make for great reading. Kudos also for the great cover and classy design of the mag... it's a real keeper.
--- The 3rd issue of hardback literary magazine THE VISITING SILVER has four MSP published authors in it: Steve Hussy, u.v.ray, Mark SaFranko and Carson Mell. Check it out - it makes for great reading...
--- u.v.ray's next work is a screenplay/novella called DRUGGERNAUT that will be available on Spinners. I've had the privilege of already reading the proof, and I can confirm it's another great one from Mr. Ray.
--- April 8th marks the birth of John Fante in 1909. MSP Review has tackled two dodgy screen adaptions of his books: ASK THE DUST and WAIT UNTIL SPRING BANDINI. There is also a review of the lesser-known classic from Fante, called WEST OF ROME.

--- As the cold hits this month - February seems to get the worst of it in the UK - crack open some books and get reading to escape the bleakness.
