"His writing is unforgettable."
Zsolt Alapi was born in Budapest, Hungary and immigrated first to the U.S. and later to Canada during the Vietnam War. After completing a Ph.D., he worked in the sterile halls of academia for several decades yet still managed to leave with a substantial part of his soul intact.
He was the editor and owner of a small micro-press, Siren Song Publishing, where he published several books by writers who are part of the "new
underground". His fiction, poetry, and reviews have appeared in North America, the UK, and Europe, and he has also published two chapbooks (Three Stories and The Swimmer), a collection of short stories (The Dance of the Seven Dwarfs), and a novel (Landscape with the Fall of Icarus) in Canada.
Zsolt lives in Montreal where he occasionally writes a column for Montreal Rampage called "Rants of a Grumpy Old Man" and is working on a novel of that same name.
